Rusk Independent School District (Rusk ISD) is a public school district serving the city of Rusk, TX and the surrounding areas. Rusk ISD prides itself on providing a top-quality education to its approximately 1,600 students, serving students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade.
The district includes four campuses: Rusk Elementary School, Rusk Intermediate School, Rusk Junior High School, and Rusk High School, each offering an exceptional curriculum and a range of extracurricular activities to meet the unique interests and needs of all students. In addition to the district’s commitment to academic excellence, Rusk ISD is home to state-of-the-art academic and athletic facilities, including an artificial turf football field and baseball diamond, designed to provide students with the best possible academic and athletic experience.

K- 12 Schools
Rusk High School
Rusk High School provides traditional 9th through 12th grade education, as well as the ability for students to choose between five endorsements. These include STEM, Business and Industry, Arts and Humanities, Public Services, and Multi-Disciplinary options. The school also offers students extracurricular options in sports, arts, and clubs.
Rusk Junior High School
Rusk Junior High equips students in grades six through eighth with the knowledge and skills to help them achieve academic success. The school offers unique athletic and junior high programs to keep students engaged beyond the classroom.
Rusk Intermediate School
Rusk Intermediate School includes students in grades fourth through fifth. It is the primary intermediate school for students within Rusk.
Rusk Elementary School
Rusk Elementary provides students in second and third grades with education according to a comprehensive curriculum, providing a road map to success in intermediate school.
G. W. Bradford Primary
Bradford Primary School provides kindergarten through first grade education to students.
